Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, and mentor a small group of 2-3 financial analysts, delegating day-to-day tasks and reviewing their deliverables.
- Ensure team deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Act as an escalation point for programmatic issues, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.
- Pricing lead on customer RFPs/RFQs, in both FAR regulated and competitive environment for new programs & products, existing products, assemblies, spare parts, and repairs.
- Interfaces with various members of the proposal team (Business Development, Operations, Engineering, Quality, etc.) regarding all elements of quotes and supporting logic.
- Support both customer and DCAA/DCMA audits serving as Marotta Finance Lead for the bid / proposal under audit.
- Review costed bills of material, including make vs. buy decisions, for consistency and best value with Supply Chain, Program Management, and other subject matter experts.
- Assist the engineering and production teams by analyzing cost drivers on new and historical designs as part of variance analysis and bid and proposal activities.
- Gathers, validates, and analyzes sales and cost-of-sales data to evaluate business performance (e.g., gross margin compared to budgeted and forecasted expectations).
- Assembles and reviews monthly financial performance trackers with the operations, production management, and program management teams.
- Conducts monthly variance analysis across all lines of Business Unit P&L: Revenue, Cost of Sales, and Gross Profit.
- Gather inputs from subject matter experts for Estimates to Complete (ETCs) and Estimates at Complete (EACs) in support of Earned Value for select programs associated within the Business Unit.
- Analyze program performance with Program Management to identify risks and opportunities in connection with development and production program execution.
- Lead process improvement initiatives.
- Lead, and/or actively participate in team meetings, improvement initiatives/programs, etc. to provide constructive recommendations and initiate actions to support company initiatives/goals.
- Bring initiatives and activities to closure in a timely manner through effective interaction with individuals, both internal and external to the Marotta organization (as required).
- Abide by all safety, quality, housekeeping and company policies/procedures to ensure compliance to all regulatory and internal system requirements.
- Contribute to a positive and cooperative work environment through effective communication at all levels internal and external to the organization.
- Participate in team meetings, improvement initiatives/programs, etc. and support actions to drive company initiatives/goals.
- Assist in the training of personnel to perform required technical tasks (as directed).

Qualifications
- 5 to 10 years of relevant experience, including Finance or Production/Operations background in Aerospace and Defense industry.
- B.S. Finance, Accounting, Engineering or other technical discipline.
- Core working knowledge of EVM principles and project or program specific application, government contracting experience is a plus.
- Experience working on government contracts in following capacities, and not limited to the following: Contracts Management, Pricing / Proposals, Business Mgt., Experience in supporting audits, Customer negotiations, Performing Program Financial Metrics such as EAC’s, ETC, as well as EVMS (CPI / SPI).
- Superior Microsoft Excel skills.
- Knowledge of ERP systems.
- Strong verbal/written communication skills required for multi-faceted interactions with all levels of personnel within the organization, as well as any and all outside agents/agencies.
- Highly computer literate, with MS Office/PC expertise, and demonstrated experience with applicable systems, programs, equipment, etc.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple assignments simultaneously within a short period of time.
- Must be a US Citizen.
