Business Treasury Manager
About the role
The Business Treasury Manager supports treasury operations across multiple U.S. entities and interfaces with Group Treasury at Saab AB. Key responsibilities include managing foreign currency exposure, liquidity, and treasury activities, supporting U.S. banking operations, administering U.S. insurance programs, preparing treasury reports, and driving process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Manage foreign currency exposure, liquidity, and treasury activities in coordination with Group Treasury, including FX analysis, hedging support, cash forecasting, treasury transactions, and liquidity reporting.
- Support U.S. banking operations, including account administration, payment processes, banking relationships, and the lifecycle management of bank guarantees, standby letters of credit, and surety instruments, ensuring compliance with internal policies and banking/KYC requirements.
- Administer U.S. insurance programs, coordinating with Group Insurance and brokers on policy placement, renewals, budgeting, risk management, and operational insurance matters.
- Prepare treasury, cash, and liquidity reports and analyses using ERP and treasury management systems to support business planning and decision-making.
- Drive continuous improvement of treasury processes, systems, and controls while ensuring compliance with corporate policies, global treasury standards, audit requirements, and operational best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in treasury, corporate finance, or a related function within a complex or multinational organization
- Strong understanding of foreign currency risk and hedging principles
- Experience with cash management, liquidity forecasting, and banking operations
- Familiarity with internal controls, audit requirements, and financial governance frameworks
- Proficiency in Excel and financial analysis tools
- Experience working cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and external banking partners
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- Required: 8+ years of experience in treasury, corporate finance, or a related function within a complex or multinational organization
- Preferred: Experience in Aerospace & Defense or another highly regulated industry
- Preferred: Experience working within a centralized Group Treasury structure
- Preferred: Familiarity with ERP and treasury platforms (Oracle, IFS, Quantum or similar)
- Preferred: Experience managing foreign exchange exposure in a contract or project-based environment
- Preferred: Exposure to insurance coordination or enterprise risk functions
- Preferred: Experience in a multi-entity or geographically distributed operating model
- Preferred: Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate across global teams
Skills
