Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team in preparing, reviewing, and electronically filing Form 5500s for employee benefit plans
- Oversee analysis of financial and participant data to ensure federal compliance, including ERISA and IRS regulations
- Deliver compliance services for Forms 5500, 8955-SSA, 720, and 5330, addressing client needs of various sizes
- Manage engagement risk, financial performance, billing, collections, and project budgets
- Monitor evolving regulatory requirements for Form 5500 filers
- Uphold professionalism, integrity, and a respectful work environment
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum five years of experience in employee benefit plan compliance, tax, or audit, with at least two in leadership
- Bachelor’s degree; CPA, JD/LLM, EA, or other approved credentials (with a one-year credential acquisition window)
- Deep knowledge of ERISA and IRS regulations related to employee benefit plans
- Strong leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for building client and team relationships
