Business Tax Services Manager

About the role

The role involves leading a team in managing employee benefit plan compliance, including preparation, review, and electronic filing of Form 5500s and related documents. The incumbent acts as the primary contact for internal teams, clients, and auditors, addressing client needs across various service areas.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing financial and participant data to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance (ERISA, IRS)
• Managing engagement risks, financial performance, billing, and collections
• Monitoring evolving compliance requirements
• Preparing, reviewing, and electronically filing Form 5500s and related documents
• Acting as primary contact for internal teams, clients, and auditors
• Addressing client needs across various service areas

Qualifications

• At least five years of relevant experience in employee benefit plan compliance, tax, or audit
• Minimum of two years in a supervisory role
• Bachelor's degree
• Relevant credentials such as CPA, JD/LLM, or EA, or obtain one within a year of employment
