Your responsibilities
- Analyze existing business tools, workflows, and technical processes to understand their purpose, requirements, and dependencies.
- Redesign and migrate existing solutions to modern, maintainable programming languages, application platforms, and packaged solutions.
- Consolidate disconnected or manually maintained processes into cohesive and supportable applications.
- Develop, test, deploy, and maintain business applications, scripts, reports, dashboards, integrations, and process automations.
- Ensure developed solutions include source control, technical documentation, installation and configuration instructions, user documentation, and support procedures.
- Meet with business users to identify requirements, validate solutions, and recommend process improvements.
- Integrate business systems and automate the exchange of information between applications.
- Reduce manual work, duplicate data entry, operational risk, and dependence on individual employees.
- Troubleshoot software, databases, integration, and workflow issues.
- Provide training and ongoing support for developed applications.
- Apply appropriate security, access-control, data-protection, testing, and change-management practices.
- Cook up with the IT Manager, other IT staff, software vendors, and business stakeholders.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
Education & Experience Requirements
- Ace or Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, software development or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Experience developing and supporting business applications, integrations, workflow automations or packaged software solutions.
- Working knowledge of programming or scripting languages such as C#, Python, JavaScript, PowerShell or comparable technologies.
- Experience with relational databases and SQL.
- Ability to translate business requirements and existing application behavior into reliable technical solutions.
- Strong Troubleshooting, communication, organization, and documentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with technical and nontechnical employees.
Preferred Experience
- Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI.
- ERP, manufacturing, accounting, document-management, or other business systems.
- APIs, web services, reporting tools, and system integrations.
- Software-developing lifecycle practices, including source control, testing, deployment, documentation, and change management.
