About the role
The PeopleSoft Business Systems Analyst III position at Samaritan's Purse is dedicated to improving the ministry's enterprise Human Capital Management (HCM) systems. This role involves partnering with HR, Payroll, Benefits, Talent Management, and other internal stakeholders to understand business needs, identify process improvements, and design effective PeopleSoft HCM solutions that align with the ministry's goals.
Responsibilities
- Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him.
- Recommend process/customer service improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes, and/or major variations from established policy, which must be approved by appropriate leadership prior to implementation.
- Perform system maintenance, including assisting in the review, testing, and implementation of business system upgrades or patches.
- Collaborate with functional and technical staff to coordinate the application of the upgrade or fix.
- Maintain business systems tables.
- Document process and results.
- Gather business requirements for system enhancements, and evaluate, document, and communicate them to the appropriate resources needed to complete the work.
- Develop and execute test plans to validate new enhancements and provide guidance to business owners and subject matter experts to obtain approval to implement the enhancements in the system.
- Utilize interpersonal skills when working with various customers and peers to help accomplish project goals.
- Provide production support, including researching and resolving business systems problems, unexpected results, or process flaws; performing scheduled activities; and recommending solutions or alternative methods to meet requirements.
- Generate reports/queries, including writing, maintenance, and supporting a variety of reports or queries, utilizing appropriate reporting tools.
- Aid in the development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs.
- Help maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data.
- Participate in projects and process improvements, applying change management experience to drive progress to new levels of quality.
- Conduct training, including developing user procedures, guidelines, and documentation. Train clients on new processes/functionality. Train new system users.

- Examine trends in information systems training, materials, and techniques. Through classes, reading, CBTs, or other mechanisms, continuously increase both business knowledge and systems application/tools knowledge.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with a major in Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field and/or at least four (4) years of experience supporting enterprise business systems; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise business systems and business processes, with experience supporting Human Resources, Payroll, Benefits, Talent Management, or related functional areas.
- Experience with application configuration, testing, deployment, business systems analysis, and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Strong ability to analyze business requirements, document solution designs and process flows, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute effectively within high-performing teams that support growing business and service demands.
- 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required); if not already completed, an opportunity to meet and complete the requirement is available upon hire.
Qualifications & Experience
