Business Systems Analyst II (Medicaid Fee-For-Service)

About the role

The Business Systems Analyst position at MedImpact Healthcare Systems, Inc. is a liaison between end-users/customers and the Information Technology department. The role involves reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating business systems and user needs, formulating systems to align with business strategies, and developing detailed specifications.

Responsibilities

• Interviews end-users/customers to define business requirements for complex software modifications and enhancements.
• Translates business requirements into functional specifications.
• Collaborates with business and technical resources to design solutions that meet the needs of the business.
• Documents requirements, business rules, and develops software specifications including system requirements, flow charts, report mock-ups, and business rules.
• Develops project plans, prioritizes tasks, and provides regular status updates to management and stakeholders.
• Ensures developed applications meet all project requirements, are completed on time, accurate to specifications, and within budget.
• Performs quality control checks on software before release to the QA department.
• Supports software development and QA staff as needed.
• Handles, prioritizes, and manages multiple Service Requests (SR’s) throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Manages software release for designated applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of Visio, Golden 32, Securt CRT Design software, and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
• Familiarity with Oracle database, JAVA, OLTP, AIX/Solaris, and integrated development platforms.
• Experience with relational databases and client-server concepts.
