Our Institutional Solutions team is seeking a Business Systems Analyst or Business Systems Consultant (depending on experience) to collaborate with customer areas and assist in defining business requirements for projects of a complex nature to improve the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of products and services. You will assist in the research, development, and implementation of business systems and processes.

Pay

  • Business Systems Analyst III: $68,000 - $87,500 plus annual bonus opportunity.
  • Business Systems Consultant I: $75,500 - $97,000, plus annual bonus opportunity.
  • Business Systems Consultant II: $86,000 - $114,000, plus annual bonus opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate business analysis and requirements gathering by assessing current-state processes, identifying opportunities, and comparing the present state of the business with the desired future state.
  • Develop and communicate recommendations and build the business case for changes to current practices and technology systems.
  • Apply an in-depth understanding of cross-functional business processes, compliance, and workflows to support applications and evaluate current and future processes.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and operational excellence, and leverage business system tools, processes, practices, methodologies, and emerging technologies to positively impact business operations.
  • Lead testing, implementation, and change management activities by developing high-level test strategies and plans, prioritizing and reviewing testing activities, and supporting manual and automated testing methods.
  • Develop and implement communication and training plans, guide adoption across business units, and serve as a trusted advisor on change management practices.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, to drive decision-making and alignment on goals, objectives, and business solutions.
  • Manage vendor relationships and requests and participate in vendor selection, evaluation, recommendation, and compliance activities.
  • Effectively influence, persuade, and communicate with business partners and stakeholders throughout the enterprise.
  • Leverage Agile principles, facilitation, and project management practices to guide core teams toward business decisions and feature- or department-level changes.
  • Support project delivery through effective prioritization, organization, and decision-making, and may provide production support, ad hoc reporting, and advanced project management activities.

Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of business systems operations, workflow analysis, business systems terminology, and standards, with the ability to understand and consider both business and technical processes and needs to meet or exceed desired business objectives.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the insurance industry is preferred.
  • Experience with business systems implementation, process redesign and reengineering, as well as project management processes and tools used to manage and deliver projects timely.
  • Exposure to continuous process improvement, operational excellence, and change management practices is valuable.
  • Proficiency working with Agile principles and processes, including driving decision-making and aligning teams and organizations on goals and objectives.
  • Ability to use and improve contemporary business system tools, processes, practices, and methodologies while actively seeking opportunities to apply new and emerging technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and serve as a trusted partner while effectively interacting with multiple business partners and stakeholders.
  • Strong relationship-building, facilitation, collaboration, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and organizational skills, with a high attention to detail and the ability to see the big picture.
  • Ability to prioritize, make sound decisions, maintain flexibility, and adapt effectively in a rapidly changing environment.
  • You promote a collaborative culture, value different ideas and opinions, and listen courageously, remaining curious in all that you do.
  • Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of insurance products, the insurance industry, related legislation, and business operation procedures and practices.
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC); International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA); Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK); Data Management Book of Knowledge (DMBOK); Awareness, Desire, Knowledge, Ability & Requirements (ADKAR).
  • Working knowledge of test and process automation.
  • Strong quantitative, statistical, and data analysis and interpretative skills.
