Business Systems Analyst, Clinical - IT

About the role

The EMR Inpatient team supports and maintains electronic medical records for inpatient hospitals at Hawai'i Pacific Health. This position reports to the Manager of Information Systems Department or designee.

Responsibilities

• Provides application support to user departments.
• Acts as the key liaison between the Clinical community, vendors, and the IS Department.
• Responsible for Tier 2 support of applications.
• Translates customer's high-level requirements into functional specifications for the IS Department and manages changes to such specifications.
• Uses a variety of platforms to provide automated systems applications to customers.
• Responsible for gathering, compiling, and synthesizing information with regard to technology processes and/or systems.
• Codes, defines criteria, performs testing, debugging, documents, and maintains programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Health Care or related field and/or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• One (1) year of experience in functional analysis, system design and/or business applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two (2) years of health care experience and working with clinical users to determine their needs and manage the changes to those specifications, including troubleshooting systems issues and modifying applications.
• Experience in supporting information systems.
• Experience in analyzing workflow and implementing changes in workflow.

Pay

$101,982 - $127,483 USD per year
