Business Systems Analyst

Job Summary

General Atomics (GA), and its affiliated companies, is a leader in high-technology systems development, including nuclear fuel cycle, remotely piloted aircraft, airborne sensors, and advanced technologies. The IT business systems analyst works closely with various departments to support business operations through effective and efficient IT projects, applications enhancements, break-fixes, and business process support.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Understand business processes and applications of assigned departments.
• Analyze business requests for validity, alignment, business criticality, ROI, and solution options.
• Author business process diagrams and solution proposals.
• Develop functional specifications for technical teams.
• Perform unit testing and coordinate user acceptance testing.
• Understand SDLC processes and be familiar with IT project management frameworks.
• Manage small to mid-size IT projects with guidance.
• Learn system configurations and distinguish between valid and invalid requirements.
• Stay updated on IT trends and contribute to decision-making.
• Work safely and adhere to company policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 15 years of progressive professional experience in business systems analysis.
• 10+ years of IT business analysis experience in engineering, manufacturing, and distribution companies, preferably with SAP and ServiceNow.
• Experience in Service Management systems (ServiceNow) is desirable.
• Experience in Timekeeping systems configuration or custom applications is desirable.
• Experience in various SaaS applications configuration is desirable.
• Experience in Aerospace & Defense industry is desirable.
• 3+ years of Project Management experience is desirable.
• Knowledge of HR, Timekeeping, and Payroll processes and solutions is desirable.
• Detail-oriented, process-driven, customer-focused, and team-oriented personality.
• Strong leadership potential in IT project management, resource management, and customer relationship management.
