Business System Analyst
About the role
Findlay Tall Timbers Distribution Center is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to bridge the gap between business operations and technology. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys understanding how businesses work, identifying opportunities for improvement, and leveraging technology to drive efficiency and growth. You'll work closely with business leaders, operations teams, IT, and software vendors to ensure technology solutions support business objectives, streamline processes, and maximize the value of system investments.
Responsibilities
- Partner with business leaders to understand operational processes, challenges, and objectives.
- Translate business needs into clear, actionable system requirements.
- Support the organization's transition from custom-developed systems to commercial software solutions.
- Develop expertise in the company's business applications, reporting tools, analytics capabilities, and underlying data structures.
- Act as the primary liaison with software vendors, including managing escalations and issue resolution.
- Recommend system improvements and application enhancements to optimize business performance.
- Stay informed on software updates and guide testing, implementation, and rollout activities.
- Collaborate with Operations and IT teams on system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), troubleshooting, and solution delivery.
- Assist with process documentation, workflows, training materials, and user adoption efforts.
- Build knowledge and expertise in Power BI and Snowflake to support reporting and analytics initiatives.
- Help ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or related experience.
- Strong understanding of business operations within distribution or supply chain environments; 3PL experience is a plus.
- Experience working with commercial enterprise software platforms.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Power BI or other data visualization and reporting tools.
- Knowledge of data analytics and business reporting concepts.
- Familiarity with software testing, requirements gathering, and project management processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a strategic mindset.
- Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Travel Requirements
Up to 50% travel between company locations.
