Business Systems Analyst
About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst to support enterprise data quality initiatives, data validation efforts, and business-critical data operations. This role serves as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams while contributing to data analysis, troubleshooting, testing, and process improvement activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong SQL expertise, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to investigate complex data issues within a fast-paced environment.
Core Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business requirements into technical solutions and vice versa
- Perform data analysis, validation, and quality assurance activities to ensure accuracy and integrity of enterprise data
- Research data lineage, trace data mappings, and investigate data discrepancies to identify root causes of issues
- Conduct data quality checks, anomaly detection, and validation testing to support ongoing business operations
- Partner with development and quality assurance teams to support thorough testing and implementation efforts
- Review existing processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and recommend best practices to enhance team efficiency
- Participate in production support activities, issue triage, and feature evaluation initiatives
- Analyze data-related inquiries and troubleshoot issues impacting reporting, integrations, and business processes
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field
- 5+ years of SQL experience, including data analysis, ad hoc query development, data validation, and data quality review
- 5+ years of experience working in a large-scale enterprise environment
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and critical-thinking skills
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience with Python development and scripting
- Experience working with Snowflake
- Data warehousing experience
- Experience with UNIX/Linux shell scripting
- Background supporting data quality, data governance, or enterprise reporting environments

Compensation & Benefits
Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $108,000 and $120,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
