The Academic Advising & Student Success Center drives student success initiatives aligned with Missouri S&T's commitment to academic excellence and achievement. With CRLA Level‑1 certification reflecting nationally recognized advising training, the center delivers consistent, high quality support that promotes academic progress and degree completion. Work in the center involves advising coordination, degree tracking support, and collaboration with academic units.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and train front office student staff, and provide support for On Track Mentors, entering ePAFs, scheduling and approving payroll
- Oversee the main academic advising phone line
- Provide training, support and coverage for incoming calls while exhibiting professionalism at all times
- Distribute incoming mail and send mail on behalf of the department
- Reconcile office accounting and assist with budgets, purchases, accounts payable/receivables while managing inventory and supplies
- Assist the Senior Program Manager and staff of the Student Success Center in delivering and maintaining all SSC services: tutoring, success coaching and on-track mentoring
- Assist and coordinate meetings on behalf of the Senior Director of Academic Advising
- Assist with onboarding of professional staff
- Provides information to and exchanges information with appropriate and respective parties on behalf of Academic Advising
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior office experience is preferred
Pay
$15.50–$20.75 hourly
