Business Support Specialist
About the role
UMB’s Specialty Corporate Trust team provides trust services for aviation, rail, and real estate financing. The team works with global customers to onboard businesses and administer trust transactions, generating fee revenue and interest income for the bank. The Business Support Specialist partners with Relationship Managers to support clients through account updates, system set‑ups, note transfers, audit confirmations, and other administrative responsibilities related to the trusts. The environment is fast‑paced with monthly deadlines, and the team values collaboration, knowledge sharing, and professional growth.
Responsibilities
- Use attention to detail to manage risks associated with processing a high volume of daily activities.
- Act as a liaison between Bond/Loan Operations and Relationship Managers.
- Review incoming messages in a shared mailbox, determine priority and urgency, and complete requests accordingly.
- Apply critical‑thinking skills to resolve operational issues.
- Provide specialized customer service to the Relationship Management team, including:
- Coordination and execution of system set‑ups.
- Compilation of note transfer documentation.
- Audit confirmations.
- Account set‑ups and record keeping.
- Maintenance and updates to systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- At least two years of relevant experience.
Compensation
Salary range: $51,291 – $75,460. The actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, experience level, and other job‑related factors.
