About the role
Support position responsible for processing and preparing loan documents for business purpose loans. Provide assistance to the Business Lending staff. Perform quality control activities. Provide assistance with Credit Union business products and services to members when required.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Process and disburse business purpose loans and related requests, as directed.
- Maintain business purpose loan files according to BHFCU policies and procedures by ensuring the proper documents are obtained, documents are accurately completed, and loan information is processed into computer system.
- Ensure security interests in collateral are properly recorded.
- Maintain the Business Loan Department Tracking Report to ensure necessary items are obtained and updated.
- Audit business loan files to ensure that proper procedure is being followed and loans are being properly reported as Member Business Loans.
- Monitor and service business loan files.
- Prepare loan documents.
- Close loans and cross sell.
Other Duties/Responsibilities
- Ensure the confidentiality and security of loans being processed.
- Release liens on titles and other collateral as requested per state requirements and credit union policies.
- Perform loan payouts and other PFA back-up duties as requested.
Job Knowledge
- Working knowledge of the credit union's products and services.
- Working knowledge of organization's policies/procedures and credit union's service philosophy.
- Working knowledge of safety and security programs for false alarms, robberies, bomb threats and extortion.
- Working knowledge of credit union's in-house computer system / Internet.
- Working knowledge of state and federal business lending regulations.

- Ability to comprehend complex functions and procedures and to be able to disseminate that knowledge in a clear and understandable format to others.

- Ability to gather, assemble, correlate, and analyze facts and develop solutions.
- Ability to produce a high volume of work in a timely manner that is accurate, complete, and of high quality.
- Ability to assess the needs of multiple members and prioritize requests to ensure that all members receive the highest quality service possible.
- Ability to handle daily routine with moderate freedom to interpret and act upon various situations.
- Ability to present a professional and personable personality that communicates to members and visitors that the credit union is a professional financial institution.
Job Qualifications (Education/Experience)
- A high school level of language, math and reasoning skills.
- One to two years’ experience in a related field with equal responsibilities is acceptable.
- Formal training should be supplemented with continuing education.
