Pay
Expected pay for this position is $18.80 - $22.12/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills, and internal equity.
Schedule
This is an hourly position located in Peoria, IL, with a schedule of 5 × 8-hour days (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM) and every 4th weekend.
About the Role
The Business Support Associate maintains and accurately updates employee work schedules, attendance, and timekeeping records in accordance with organizational policies and procedures. Provides feedback to leadership on any discrepancies and offers direct user support to all levels of team members regarding the Time and Attendance System API (payroll software). Maintains the Position Management database (Staffing Position Control) and utilizes critical thinking skills to build schedules within API by gathering information, meeting with, and training key leadership. Manages simple to complex projects, prepares bi-weekly and monthly reports using advanced Excel skills, and works under strict deadlines to provide daily support. Provides daily support for Administrative Supervisors and Unit Leadership as directed.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update employee work schedules, attendance, and timekeeping records.
- Provide feedback to leadership on discrepancies in time and attendance records.
- Offer direct user support for the Time and Attendance System API (payroll software).
- Maintain the Position Management database (Staffing Position Control).
- Build schedules within API using critical thinking, information gathering, and leadership training.
- Manage simple to complex projects.
- Prepare bi-weekly and monthly reports using advanced Excel skills.
- Work under strict deadlines to provide daily support.
- Provide daily support for Administrative Supervisors and Unit Leadership.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- Familiarity with Excel.
- 2 years of customer service experience.
- Availability to work weekend shifts as needed; possibly every other weekend.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail-oriented.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree or higher education (no particular discipline).
- 3 years of direct timekeeping and/or scheduling experience.
- 3 years of maintaining/configuring a system application.
