Business Support Analyst

About the role

Support the Business Analyst in driving the discovery, design, and delivery of digital solutions that align with Almac’s strategic goals. Lead and support requirements analysis, facilitate stakeholder engagement, support testing and business readiness, and ensure continuous improvement of digital products and services. Provide support for assigned products and digital solutions.

Responsibilities

• Requirements & Design
  • Support Business Analyst in eliciting, analyzing, and documenting business user requirements alongside system design requirements for large-scale projects.
  • Lead analyzing and documenting business user requirements alongside system design requirements for small/medium-scale projects.
  • Ensure requirements are complete, feasible, and aligned with strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure solution design meets business needs.
• Product & Solution Delivery
  • Write and execute PQ/UAT tests; track and resolve defects.
  • Deliver assigned business readiness activities including training (ELCs), internal and external communications, and SOP update coordination as required.
• Product Ownership & Support
  • Support management and prioritization of product backlogs.
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for assigned products.
  • Support issue resolution, bug fixes, and enhancements where necessary.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for assigned products, analyze trends, and collaborate with business and customer stakeholders to propose and implement actions for improvement.

Requirements

• Required Experience / Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree or 2+ years’ experience in design and delivery of software solutions within the pharmaceutical, life sciences, or healthcare industries.
  • 2+ years’ experience performing requirements analysis and elicitation for software products and solutions using agile and waterfall methodologies.
  • 2+ years’ experience facilitating and executing testing of software products and solutions.
  • 2+ years’ experience managing multiple deliverables from product initiation through to delivery.
  • 2+ years’ experience working in a multi-team environment with ability to meet key milestones.
  • Pharmaceutical / Clinical trials process knowledge.
  • Effective communication methods for project stakeholders at a senior or executive level.
  • Information Systems.
• Preferred Experience / Education
  • BA Degree in a Life Science, Business, Mathematics, or IT discipline.
  • 2+ years’ experience in developing software products and solutions related to clinical supply management, packaging, labeling, distribution, or other related clinical trial functions.
  • Knowledge of Almac’s internal business systems.
  • GXP, 21 CFR Part 11.
  • Software Development methodologies: methods, techniques, roles, tools.
  • Commercial product development.
  • Development of Return on Investment.
  • Business Analysis Methods.
