Business Strategy Analyst Mid-Level

About the role

USAA seeks a Business Strategy Analyst Mid-Level to provide thought leadership on industry trends, market developments, and strategic direction for the business unit. This role offers a flexible work environment requiring 4 days of in-office presence.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify key business assumptions and hypotheses around line of business strategy.
• Evaluate and uncover strategic insights related to Profit & Loss performance, including Product Strategy, Pricing, Marketing, Sales, Credit Risk, Distribution Channels, and Member Experience.
• Aid in refining hypotheses and identifying business questions to explore further.
• Develop the analytical framework and blueprint to answer business questions identified in the business portfolio, product, or member experience.
• Leverage advanced data-driven problem-solving techniques to manipulate and interpret business results.
• Translate findings into insights for strategy management and execution.
• Prepare materials to communicate the significance of strategic insights to senior leaders and other key stakeholders.
• Participate in key stakeholder meetings.
• Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, science, finance, economics, or related discipline; or 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required).
• 4 years’ experience in data and/or analytics or strategy consulting; or Advanced Degree in Business, Science, Finance, Economics or related discipline with 2 years’ experience in data and/or analytics or strategy consulting.
• Demonstrated experience using data analytics to formulate data-driven insights.
• Experience performing data analysis using various data analytics tools (i.e. Microsoft Excel, Tableau, R, Python, SQL, Snowflake, SAS, Adobe Analytics).
• Experience in project management.

Qualifications

• 4 years of data and/or analytics experience.
• Experience performing data analysis using: Microsoft excel, Tableau, Snowflake, SQL and SAS (Python a nice to have).
• Experience/knowledge of financial services and real estate lending industry and related Banking Regulatory requirements.
• Experience in business process consulting, process design, program/project management and/or process improvement or directly related business experience.
• Experience in implementing and sustaining change/improvements.
• US military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner.

Pay

The salary range for this position is: $85,440 - $162,550.

Schedule

This position can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX. Phoenix, AZ, Colorado Springs, CO, Charlotte, NC, or Tampa, FL. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
