The Business Services Team Manager at Canonical is responsible for leading efficient and effective travel, logistics, event, scheduling, expense policy and administration. This role requires outstanding coordination, planning, decision-making, budgeting, procurement, reporting and management. The position involves coordinating large-scale company events which involve travel for hundreds of people from 80+ countries, running such events four times a year, and providing traditional 'EA' services for company leads.

About the role

  • Directs and manages the travel, logistics, event, scheduling, expense policy and administration functions.
  • Coordinates complex company events, including planning, venue selection, scheduling, operations, and safety reviews.
  • Ensures compliance with policies and procedures related to travel, expenses, and events.
  • Reviews and approves expense claims to ensure fairness and consistency.
  • Works closely with team leaders to ensure events run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Manages the global duty of care, health and safety programs with comprehensive policies and practices.
  • Provides support for company executives in briefing and operational facilities.

Qualifications

  • An exceptional academic track record from both high school and university
  • Travel industry experience
  • Project management experience
  • Event management and operations experience
  • Business and corporate administration experience
