About the Role

Business disruptions are inevitable...how an organization prepares for and responds to them isn't. We're looking for a Business Resilience Manager to lead our Business Resiliency program, overseeing Crisis Management, Cyber Response, and Business Continuity, while tracking and reporting on Disaster Recovery activities. This is a role for someone who can build resilience against today's threats and tomorrow's, protecting the organization's ability to operate through both planned and unplanned interruptions.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as program manager for business resiliency objectives across all critical business functions
  • Partner with IT to design, facilitate, and maintain cybersecurity plans, documentation, and processes
  • Provide leadership during data breach incidents
  • Conduct Business Impact Analyses
  • Incorporate vendor management risk into business resiliency planning and Third-Party Risk Assessments
  • Support the Business Resilience team during business interruptions, system outages, natural disasters, and other emergency situations
  • Build a strong working relationship with IT to align Disaster Recovery practices with business requirements and recovery strategies
  • Partner with Administration on joint plan development, maintenance, and testing (e.g., Emergency Response, Workplace Violence)
  • Lead table-top training exercises to keep employees ready for a range of interruption scenarios
  • Conduct ongoing risk analyses to identify vulnerabilities and implement risk reduction strategies
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration to advance organizational resiliency goals, often beyond the role's direct scope of authority
  • Develop metrics, service level agreements, and regular reporting on program performance
  • Design, develop, and maintain business resiliency plans, and manage related vendors and tools
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements
  • Stay current with industry best practices through ongoing professional development

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience leading Business and IT resiliency programs and projects
  • Strong project management experience
  • Proven ability to lead teams effectively under pressure during crisis events
  • Ability to work independently under general direction
  • Strong understanding of business and system operations, with the ability to communicate across technical and non-technical audiences
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Teams, SharePoint)
  • Demonstrated ability to generate clear, actionable reports and metrics
  • Experience managing external vendor relationships
  • Ability to track Disaster Recovery-related KPIs and hold departments accountable for comprehensive SOPs

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in Business Resilience program leadership
  • Relevant certifications preferred (CBRM – Certified Business Resilience Manager, CBCP – Certified Business Continuity Professional)

Physical Requirements

This role requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, including video conferencing.
