About the role
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to take on the challenging role of Business Quality Engineer. This role can be filled at any of the Wolfspeed manufacturing locations, Durham, NC; Marcy, NY; Fayetteville, AK.
Responsibilities
- Consult with process stakeholders, such as Operations, Quality, Sales, and Project Management, to align and draft documentation related to Product Change Notifications (PCNs) that will be delivered to our customers.
- Track and report on status of all open PCNs to ensure customers are notified timely, and responses are recorded accurately to enable implementation.
- Help review, map, and organize Customer Specific Requirements (CSRs) into internal standard operating procedures to ensure compliance across production lines.
- Support PPAP Compilation by collecting, analyzing, and collating quality data packages (including FMEAs, Control Plans, MSA, and capability studies) for customer submission.
- Coverage of customer survey requests.
- Aid in Product Compliance requests and submissions, both internally and externally, collecting and reviewing supplier data to determine compliance status and reporting to customers.
- Participate on teams as assigned to support continuous improvement activities of our quality processes.
Requirements
- BS in Engineering or Technical field of study with 0-3 years of experience OR an associate’s degree in quality, Business Engineering Technology, Electronics, or related technical field with 5+ years’ experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
- Experience in semiconductor, electronics, or regulated manufacturing environment preferred.
- Knowledge of quality systems, semiconductor materials, and semiconductor wafer fabrication.
- Familiarity with quality management systems and documentation practices.
- Experience with IATF 16949, AS9100, or ISO9001 strongly preferred.
- Basic understanding of quality core tools (FMEA, PPAP, APQP, SPC) is a strong plus.

Pay
Salary range: $70,000 - $100,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
Full-time position, Monday through Friday, with occasional evening and weekend work as needed.
