Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyze and document current-state financial processes. Identify pain points, opportunities for efficiency as well as risk review and mitigation.
- Design future-state financial workflows, processes, and controls that leverage technology and automation to drive efficiency and operational excellence.
- Identify opportunities for automation, leveraging financial software and other applications/tools.
- Contribute to finance transformation projects from conception to completion by evaluating problem statements and participating in solution design, testing, deployment and organizational change management activities.
- Aid in the tracking and reporting of key process performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the effectiveness of processes and identify new opportunities for improvement.
- Serve as a liaison between finance and other organizational groups to ensure systems and processes are aligned with business needs and technical capabilities.
- Review new and updated processes to ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards (e.g., GAAP), and other regulatory requirements.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by staying current on industry best practices and emerging technologies related to financial process engineering.
Qualifications - Required
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in process documentation and design or related role.
- Strong experience with process improvement and data governance, Lean Six Sigma certification a plus.
- Experience with process mapping tools as well as major ERP’s such as SAP S/4.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
