Responsibilities
- Aid in collecting and organizing monthly expense data.
- Analyze budgets and highlight discrepancies for review.
- Update tracking sheets and internal logs regarding budget status.
- Maintain oversight of ePerformance completion and follow up with staff as necessary.
- Create and send reminders or communications to support deadlines and compliance.
- Review and update organization charts for accuracy.
- Prepare simple summaries or reports for leadership review.
- Handle ad hoc requests as needed.
Projects
- Liaise with MTA People (Human Resources) on recruitment and personnel actions.
- Coordinate with the Office of Management and Budget on staffing and budget-related matters.
- Process HR action forms, onboarding documentation, and recruitment updates.
- Contribute to the preparation of monthly budget reports summarizing and explaining variances in salary, wage, and non-labor accounts.
- Support data analysis, report creation, and process improvement efforts within Procurement Business Planning.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
- A keen eye for detail and ability to work independently while being a team player.
Qualifications
- Matriculated in an undergraduate program with a minimum 2.5 GPA OR matriculated in a graduate program with a minimum 2.8 GPA.
- Major(s) preferred: Accounting/Finance/Human Resources, or related fields.
Skills
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.

Pay
$19.00 per hour for Undergraduate interns, $21.00 per hour for Graduate interns.
