Business Performance Analyst, Expert

About the role

Tekwissen Group is a workforce management provider with operations throughout the USA and many other countries. This client is a holding company operating primarily through a Gas and Electric Company subsidiary that provides natural gas and electric service to residential and business clients. The subsidiary also offers building and construction programs, energy efficiency financing, electric vehicle charging networks, wireless solutions, battery storage systems, and more.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate monthly and weekly metrics reporting related to operations performance using Power BI.
• Provide consultation on the use of re-engineering techniques to improve performance.
• Align improvements to performance shortfalls.
• Survey and analyze best practices for techniques, processes, and implementation.
• Determine data needs, collect data, and select analytical techniques to conduct root cause analysis and design solutions.
• Design and maintain operational tools and reports for moderately to highly complex projects.
• Create analysis that accurately describes the state of the business.
• Design complex and automated data routines and processes for reporting and data delivery, ensuring accurate data transformation.
• Develop data analysis to achieve business objectives, process and analyze data, and write clear and concise findings using Power Query and Power BI reporting.
• Apply judgment to solve problems of diverse scope.
• Assist in coaching and developing less experienced staff and end users.
• Understand business process needs and develop solutions.
• Provide work execution and operational support with the ability to travel 3 to 5% of the time.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant business experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
• Expert-level Excel skills including Power Pivots, Power Tables, and VLOOKUP.
• Expertise in the Microsoft BI stack including Power View, Power Pivot, Power BI, and DAX.
• Experience with metrics/dashboard creation, reporting, and presenting data.
• Experience working with data stored across multiple databases/data sources.
• Advanced reporting knowledge and experience with multiple reporting tools.
• Demonstrated experience in data visualization best practices using Power BI.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Advanced problem-solving and data analysis skills.
