The team is a digitally centric B2B brand and performance marketing group, specializing in omnichannel marketing with seamless integration. Our focus is on creating cohesive and engaging customer journeys and delighting customers with relevant, timely and personalized communications to enhance their purchasing decisions, foster enthusiasm for and maximize the value of Microsoft products and services. We are seeking a strategic, execution-focused and self-motivated Business Operations & Management Lead to drive operational excellence and business performance across our organization.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and continuously improve scalable processes that support marketing execution, resource planning, and performance tracking.
- Identify operational inefficiencies and lead cross-functional initiatives to drive automation, standardization, and process optimization.
- Implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, reduce friction and support marketing scalability.
- Leverage AI tools and platforms to optimize business processes, automate routine tasks, and enhance operational efficiency.
- Manage and maintain operational tools and systems that support workflow management, reporting, and collaboration environments (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Sharepoints).
- Develop and maintain documentation, playbooks, and training resources to support process adoption, consistency and compliance.
- Document and maintain end-to-end business processes, ensuring clarity, consistency, and accessibility across teams.
- Partner with leadership to drive annual and quarterly business planning, including goal setting, headcount planning, and budget alignment.
- Lead operational reviews and business rhythm activities (e.g., QBRs, MBRs), ensuring data-driven insights and clear action plans.
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), OKRs, and strategic initiatives.
- Use AI-driven insights and predictive analytics to support strategic decision-making and performance tracking.
- Support vendor and contract management, including onboarding, compliance, and performance tracking.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, providing operational insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
- Lead and participate in pilots on support innovation and improvements.
- Own and manage the rhythm of business (RoB) calendar, including planning and execution of QBRs, MBRs, and leadership reviews.
- Develop and deliver executive-level communications, including business updates, strategic plans, and performance summaries.
Qualifications
- 8-10 years of experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing or a related field AND 8+ years of experience in business operations, program management, or marketing operations with demonstrated experience in supporting executive-level initiatives.
- Master’s Degree in Business, Communications, or a related field AND 4+ years experience in executive communications, business management, or marketing operations, including experience managing cross-functional initiatives and business planning processes.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience in business operations, digital marketing or strategic communications.
- At least 3-4 years of hands-on digital marketing experience in a B2B role.
- Virtual team leadership – Experience leading virtual teams across organizational lines and networking/relationship management
- Cross functional team leadership – Ability to work with stakeholders from different orgs, and levels
- Executive presence/communication – Ability to get executive buy-in on strategy and report upwards
- Influence without authority – Understand stakeholder motivations and drive to goals without direct authority
- Strategic thinking but also detail oriented – Ability to keep an eye on big picture strategy but execute on details
- Customer obsessed mindset – Ability holding the customer experience at a high bar and representing their voice
