About the role

The Business Operations Analyst plays a crucial role in bridging financial insight and operational execution. This position involves preparing financial reports, supporting budgeting and forecasting, building financial models, designing KPI dashboards, and providing ad hoc financial analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare recurring financial reports including variance analyses, margin reviews, and cost summaries
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close
  • Build financial models to evaluate operational initiatives, capital expenditures, and cost-reduction opportunities
  • Design and maintain KPI dashboards; produce weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reports for leadership and operational teams
  • Record finished goods transactions in the ERP system; reconcile inventory against production records and investigate discrepancies
  • Act as a backup for Accounts Payable and Receivable, including assisting with collections as needed
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis and scenario modeling to operations leadership; assess the financial impact of proposed process or supply chain changes
  • Identify and recommend process improvements that enhance accuracy, reduce costs, or improve operational efficiency

Requirements

Essential qualifications include strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, proficiency in tools like Excel, SQL, and Tableau or Power BI, data visualization and reporting skills, understanding of business operations and process optimization, communication and stakeholder management skills, attention to detail and project management skills, and a bachelor’s degree or related experience in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or Data Analytics.

Qualifications
