MISTAFF is a collaborative effort of the Michigan Association of Intermediate School Administrators, Michigan Association of Superintendents & Administrators, Michigan Association of School Boards, Michigan Association of Secondary School Principals, Michigan Elementary and Middle School Principals Association, and Michigan School Public Relations Association.
About the Role
We are seeking passionate educators to fill various teaching positions across Michigan K-12 schools. These roles are ideal for individuals committed to fostering a positive and effective learning environment for students.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans that meet district and state curriculum standards.
- Engage students in active learning through differentiated instruction.
- Assess and evaluate student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to support student success.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and staff meetings.
- Fulfill additional duties as assigned by the school administration.
Requirements
- Valid Michigan teaching certification or eligibility for certification (e.g., through alternative certification programs).
- Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field (required for certification).
- Demonstrated knowledge of subject matter and effective teaching strategies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in education.
Qualifications
- Experience working with K-12 students in a classroom or similar setting (preferred).
- Familiarity with Michigan educational standards and assessment tools.
- Ability to integrate technology into instruction.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic school environment.
