The Business Office Manager (BOM) at Pine Grove Manor Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center oversees the financial and administrative operations of the facility, ensuring accurate billing, census management, resident trust accounts, reimbursement processes, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the Business Office in accordance with facility policies and federal, state, and local regulations.
- Oversee resident billing, accounts receivable, collections, and payment posting.
- Maintain accurate census records and complete daily census verification processes.
- Serve as the primary contact for billing inquiries and financial matters for residents and their families.
- Ensure all room, ancillary, therapy, and miscellaneous charges are accurately entered and billed in PCC.
- Monitor and maintain resident trust funds and financial records.
- Collaborate with clinical, admissions, MDS, and administrative teams to ensure accurate reimbursement and revenue cycle management.
- Complete month-end business office functions and reporting requirements.
- Coordinate Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, and Private Pay billing processes.
- Ensure compliance with Triple Check billing procedures and reimbursement guidelines.
- Manage Medicare ADRs, audits, denials, and appeals.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Administrator.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- An associate degree in Business, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience as a Business Office Manager, Assistant Business Office Manager, Accounts Receivable Specialist, Billing Manager, or Healthcare Financial Coordinator in a skilled nursing facility (SNF), long-term care facility, rehabilitation center, or healthcare setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, Private Pay, and healthcare reimbursement systems is essential.
- Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) is strongly preferred.
- A strong understanding of revenue cycle management, collections, and healthcare billing practices is necessary.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills are required.
- The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information is crucial.
- A professional appearance and the ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, staff, physicians, and regulatory agencies are important.
