Responsibilities
- Accurately record cash receipts in the relevant accounts.
- Maintain crucial billing and financial data for resident business files.
- Balance resident trust accounts on a monthly basis.
- Coordinate month-end closing procedures and report essential information to the Support Center.
- Collaborate with the nursing home Administrator to perform and coordinate collection efforts.
- Manage accurate records of payor sources and explain bills to residents when necessary.
- Ensure accounts receivables are recorded correctly.
- Reconcile room and board details with monthly census figures.
- Uphold strict confidentiality of all information.
- Effectively communicate with residents, families, center team members, and the care coordination team.
- Meet deadlines for billing and reporting with precision.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or G.E.D.
- One to two years of experience in accounts receivable or bookkeeping within the long-term care or healthcare industry (preferred).
- Proficiency in using calculators and computer software.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with residents, families, and external agencies.
