About the role
Atria Senior Living is seeking a Community Business Director (CBD) to manage and supervise the business office functions at the community. The CBD will handle and manage inquiries from residents and their families, employees, and assist with maintaining accurate employee payroll and benefits data.
Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise all front desk/clerical personnel
- Coordinate and assist with maintaining accurate employee payroll and benefits data
- Ensure resident data accuracy, including resident statement accuracy, review of resident agings, and confirm level of care to billing accuracy
- Manage accounts receivable, pursue and follow-up unpaid balances, direct collection of on-site employee data, and ensure employee files are maintained in accordance with Atria's policies and procedures
- Assist the Executive Director with managing the community’s operation, reviewing and advising on billing issues, expenditures, and budgetary matters
- Participate in the month-end close process, including accrual preparation and analysis of general ledger/monthly operating statements
- Support the sales process by conducting inquiry tours as necessary
- Drive company vehicle from community to social and other various destinations (if required by community)
- Perform other duties as needed and/or assigned
Requirements
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or a related field and two (2) years of experience with business office functions
- Three (3) to five (5) years in business office management, finance or accounting preferred
- Working knowledge of general accounting, billing and collections and expense management practices
- Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws
- Able to clearly present information through the spoken word, provide necessary level of detail under stress, exhibit positive attitude and team orientation in communication, and demonstrate solid performance management skills
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office and standard office equipment
Qualifications
- Ability to perform budget analysis and variance reporting
- Knowledge of Atria’s policies and procedures, as well as federal, state, and local regulations
Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and make decisions based on company policy
- Experience with Microsoft Office and standard office equipment
