About the role

This role is part of the Business Unit Marketing Team, which acts as the strategic consultant to, and primary bridge between, practice group leadership and the broader Marketing & Client Development organization. The team translates commercial objectives and competitive insight into marketing and client development plans, then works across Marketing & Client Development to activate these plans, offering the appropriate level of strategic and tactical support tailored to the needs of each business unit.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily administrative support to the team, including managing calendars, agendas, and internal project trackers.
  • Support task workflows by maintaining accurate data and ensuring the necessary support and materials are provided for opportunities across the firm.
  • Work across teams and Marketing & Client Development to update contact lists and relationship data within CRM.
  • Provide ongoing updates and maintenance for practice descriptions, pitch support, brochures, and digital bios to ensure “Always Ready” availability.
  • Utilize standardized Business Unit-Marketing tools, templates, and playbooks to increase efficiency and support a scalable model for continued growth.
  • Follow a consistent approach to how processes and workflows are managed, ensuring that standard best practices and firm-wide templates are applied to every project.

Requirements

  • After orientation at Cooley LLP, exhibit proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, iManage, and other firm applications.
  • Available to work overtime as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Preferred: experience writing and editing proposals; working knowledge of pursuit technologies (e.g., Templify and Foundation); prior legal industry or professional services experience.

Pay

The expected hourly pay range for this position with a work schedule of 40 hours per week is $27.50–$34.00 ($57,200.00–$70,720.00 annually). Final offer amount will be dependent on geographic location, applicable experience, and skillset of the candidate.
