Responsibilities
- Strategic leadership: Develop business strategies to drive growth, profitability, and competitive success in response to changing consumer and regulatory demands.
- Leadership: Manage and develop teams of analysts, coaching and mentoring to grow and retain talent at Capital One.
- Product: Develop and implement new product and pricing strategies for various lending products; lead product-level modeling and analytics.
- Marketing: Lead direct-to-consumer marketing efforts for select products, and strategic intent for products distributed through the retail channel. Build targeted insights to inform new customer experiences and breakthrough technologies.
- Credit Risk: Drive improvements in credit performance by analyzing future consumer credit trends and creating risk models.
- Execution: Manage and sequence project delivery, build business requirements, and execute product strategies. Oversee multiple projects and programs simultaneously.
- Partnership: Work closely with colleagues across Capital One, including IT, Sales, Operations, Finance, and others, to improve quality, volume, service, and profitability.
- Strategic & analytic orientation: Make decisions and solve problems based on analytics. Exhibit conceptual thinking skills complemented by a strong quantitative orientation, given the business's reliance on rigorous analytic marketing and credit risk management.
- Strong business judgment, leadership, and integrity: Be a tenacious decision-maker with a responsible, aggressive approach to business.
- Solid people leadership experience: Build and leverage high-performing teams and business partners across the enterprise. Foster innovation, drive critical decisions, hold business partners accountable, and consistently deliver results.

- Successful track record in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and dynamic environment. Previous consulting experience is a plus.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional experience performing analysis.
- Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining one of the following with an expectation that the required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date:
- A Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer engineering, Software engineering, Mechanical engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field).
- A Master's Degree in a quantitative field (Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field) or an MBA with a quantitative concentration.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Master’s Degree in Business or quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Physical Sciences, Math, Statistics, Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in analysis.
- 2+ years of experience in financial services.
- 1+ year of experience in consulting.
- 2+ years of experience in people management.
