Business Manager - Head Start Program

About the role

The Business Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial operations and strategic planning of the Head Start Program. This includes managing budgets, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, and collaborating with other departments to achieve program goals.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all financial aspects of the program including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations related to Head Start programs.
• Collaborate with program staff to develop and implement strategic plans that support program goals.
• Manage relationships with external stakeholders such as funders and partners.
• Prepare and present financial reports to senior leadership and governing bodies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a government or non-profit setting.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations related to Head Start programs.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Access.

Pay
