Responsibilities
- Develop business strategies that drive growth, profitability, and competitive success in the face of shifting consumer and regulatory demands.
- Manage and mentor 1-2 analysts, fostering talent development and retention.
- Develop and implement new product and pricing strategies for various lending products; lead product-level modeling and analytics.
- Lead direct-to-consumer marketing efforts and strategic intent for products distributed through the retail channel. Build targeted insights to inform new customer experiences and breakthrough technology concepts.
- Drive step-change improvements in credit performance by connecting drivers of future consumer credit trends to historical behavior, creating risk models, and testing hypotheses.
- Manage and sequence delivery of business intent, build business requirements, and execute against product strategy. Oversee multiple projects and programs concurrently.
- Work closely with colleagues across Capital One, including IT, Sales, Operations, and Finance, to improve quality, volume, service, and profitability.
- Apply a proven track record of decision-making and problem-solving based on analytics, complemented by strong quantitative skills.
- Demonstrate strong business judgment, leadership, and integrity, fostering innovation and driving critical decisions.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- At least 3 years of professional experience performing analysis.
- Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, one of the following degrees (to be completed on or before the scheduled start date):
- A Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field).
- A Master's Degree in a quantitative field (Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field) or an MBA with a quantitative concentration.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Business or a quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Physical Sciences, Math, Statistics, or Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in analysis.
- 2+ years of experience in financial services.
- 1+ year of experience in consulting.
- 2+ years of experience in people management.

Pay
The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below by location. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based on agreed-upon hours. This role is also eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, including cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives (LTI).
- Chicago, IL: $149,800 - $171,000
- McLean, VA: $164,800 - $188,100
- New York, NY: $179,700 - $205,100
- Richmond, VA: $149,800 - $171,000
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
