About the role
DACC, a responsive, accessible, comprehensive, learning-centered community college that provides education opportunities to a diverse community of learners, is inviting candidates to apply for the Business Manager position.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations of fiscal support units such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, cashiering, and other business office processes.
- Manage various functions for business operations, including budgeting, analysis, management, strategic planning, and other duties.
- Provide data analysis and reporting of institutional financial activity.
- Support and oversee the Cashiers Office, including training and assistance.
- Train and support staff on business office processes and procedures.
- Serve as liaison for financial and budgetary support to academic and administrative leaders at DACC.
- Process and approve financial transactions.
- Ensure compliance with University, NMHED, state, and federal laws, policies, and regulations.
- Serve as support and backup for AVPBF and VPBF.
- Act as liaison to key external partners including NMSU System Offices.
- Collaborate with leadership across DACC campuses on System-wide institutional priorities.
- Provide leadership to all Business & Finance units on the implementation of strategic initiatives in support of the college’s strategic plan.
- Represent the college at various functions.
- Attend, participate, and/or facilitate internal and external meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree + 6 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree + 4 years of relevant experience.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Accounting and/or Finance (preferred and prioritized).
- No special certification or licensure required.
Working Conditions
- Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
- No or very limited physical effort required.
- Lifting requirements: handling of average-weight objects up to 10 pounds or some standing or walking.
- No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
Pay
$59,965.78 - $76,455.95 annually.
Schedule
Standard (Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM).
