About the role
Join Maryland Hillel as our Business Manager. In this role, you will help power the day-to-day functioning of our organization—building and sustaining the systems, processes, and infrastructure that allow our programs and community to thrive at the University of Maryland.
Responsibilities
- Help lead day-to-day operations and workflows across the organization, ensuring systems run smoothly and consistently in support of staff and programs
- Build and improve systems, processes, and internal documentation that strengthen clarity, efficiency, and shared understanding across the organization
- Cook up calendars, communications, and shared tools to support alignment and effective collaboration
- Oversee systems including Salesforce, WordPress, and MailChimp, ensuring they are maintained, accurate, and effectively supporting organizational needs
- Manage data, reporting, and dashboards to support tracking, evaluation, and informed decision-making
- Track invoices, expenses, and coordinate with finance partners to ensure accurate, timely, and organized financial processes
- Support logistics for programs and events, helping ensure smooth planning, coordination, and execution from start to finish
- Manage vendors and service providers, maintaining strong working relationships and ensuring effective delivery of services
- Coordinate internship program logistics and onboarding, supporting a structured and welcoming experience for participants and staff
- Support building operations and safety procedures, helping maintain a well-functioning, safe, and welcoming physical space
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
4–7 years relevant experience in operations, administration, or related fields
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and systems skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Comfort working with data, reporting, and digital tools used to support operations and decision-making
