Short-term

Learn and adopt Kimball Electronics philosophies and culture
Learn and build a partnership with important personnel at the customer locations through regular onsite visits
Understand Kimball Electronics Processes
Understand and learn to work within the customers processes such as S&OP process, E&O claims process, AR process
Develop an understanding of the Kimball Customer Management Model
Develop an understanding of the Kimball quote development process.
Become efficient in the tools we use to manage our accounts using: Business Warehouse, forecast management, SAP, and our Quote Model

Midterm

Manage Periodic Business Reviews (PBR), Scorecard, Action Plans
Guide the customer management model per Kimball philosophy
Begin the prospecting process of identifying additional opportunities with the current account assignment
Assume complete ownership of the customer account assignment
Create and guide next steps for continued, profitable, strategic growth
Create and guide next steps to positive cash flow and on time AR
Improve Productivity Plans for each customer assignment

Longer Term

Identify and lead business development improvement processes
Support at least two accounts

Basic Background Requirements

  • A willingness to travel nationally and globally
  • Work remotely
  • An engineering degree, or relevant Electronics Manufacturing, Business Development or Program Management experience
  • Relevant industry work experience including:
    • Experience establishing long-term relationships with customers at all levels both from a personal and professional perspective
    • Excellent negotiation skills
    • Experience working with customers, suppliers, operations, and exposure to Lean/Six Sigma processes and techniques
    • 3+ years of experience leading teams (without direct reports)
    • The ability to work with all levels of the organization (Customers and internal to Kimball)
    • Guide specific projects and account teams
    • Detailed and responsive to both the customer and Kimball's operational needs
    • Develop and articulate creative solutions to operational and commercial issues
