Responsibilities
- Strategic leadership: Develop business strategies that drive growth, profitability, and competitive success for Capital One in the face of shifting consumer and regulatory demands.
- Leadership: Manage and develop 1-2 analysts. Coach and mentor associates to develop and retain talent.
- Product: Develop and implement new product and pricing strategies for various lending products; lead product-level modeling and analytics.
- Marketing: Lead direct-to-consumer marketing efforts for select products and strategic intent for products distributed through the retail channel. Build targeted insights to inform the design and development of new customer experiences and breakthrough technology.
- Credit Risk: Drive step-change improvements in credit performance by connecting drivers of future consumer credit trends to historical behavior, creating risk models, and testing hypotheses using rigorous monitoring and analysis.
- Execution: Manage and sequence delivery of business intent, build business requirements, and execute against the product strategy. Oversee multiple projects and programs concurrently.
- Partnership: Work closely with colleagues across Capital One, including IT, Sales, Operations, and Finance, to drive improvement in quality, volume, service, and profitability.
- Strategic & analytic orientation: Make decisions and solve problems based on analytics. Complement conceptual thinking skills with a strong quantitative orientation.
- Strong business judgment, leadership, and integrity: Bring a tenacious, aggressive, yet responsible approach to business. Foster innovation, drive critical decisions, hold business partners accountable, and consistently deliver results.

- Thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and dynamic environment. Previous consulting experience is a plus.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional experience performing analysis.
- Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, one of the following degrees with an expectation that the required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date:
- A Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field).
- A Master's Degree in a quantitative field (Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field) or an MBA with a quantitative concentration.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Business or a quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Physical Sciences, Math, Statistics, or Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in analysis.
- 2+ years of experience in financial services.
- 1+ year of experience in consulting.
- 2+ years of experience in people management.
Pay
The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based on the agreed-upon number of hours to be regularly worked. This role is also eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives (LTI).
- Plano, TX: $149,800 - $171,000
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
