About the role
Based in our Esperance, WA office, you'll be responsible for leading, coaching, and supporting a team of Workforce Australia Employment Consultants. Your focus will be on driving performance, developing people, building strong local partnerships, and creating opportunities that help individuals secure sustainable employment and achieve long-term success.

Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and support a team of Workforce Australia Employment Consultants.
- Drive performance and accountability within the team.
- Develop and maintain strong local partnerships to create employment opportunities.
- Analyse performance data to identify opportunities and inform strategic planning.
- Build and maintain relationships with employers, community organisations, and internal stakeholders.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, inclusion, and high performance.
- Conduct regular coaching, mentoring, and performance conversations.
Requirements
- Experience within Employment Services or clearly demonstrated transferable skills.
- Minimum 6 months' experience managing, coaching, or leading a team in a performance-driven environment, preferably within Employment Services.
- Strong people leadership capability with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop others.
- Understanding of local labour market trends and employer engagement strategies.
- Commitment to diversity and inclusion, particularly when supporting participants with disability, CALD backgrounds, Indigenous communities, and other barriers to employment.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and effectively in challenging and changing environments.
- Proven success working within a high-performance, KPI-driven environment.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships.
- A leadership style that promotes respect, integrity, collaboration, and shared success.
- Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with employers, community organisations, and internal stakeholders.
- Workforce Australia contract knowledge and completion of probation with APM (for internal applicants).
- Eligibility to meet legislative requirements associated with Employment Services programs.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.
