About the Role
As a Business Management Associate Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in Cargill’s Animal Nutrition business. This internship is designed to prepare you for your career journey, offering real-world exposure and the opportunity to demonstrate how you may fit within our organization. Interns will engage with various challenging aspects of the business, including Strategic Pricing, Supply Chain, Commodity Merchandising, Feed Formulation, Sourcing, or Strategic Marketing and Technology.
A successful internship can lead to key individual contributor or supervisory positions within Cargill Animal Nutrition, as well as additional corporate opportunities. Career advancement may include relocation based on availability at our multiple U.S. locations.
Responsibilities
In addition to daily responsibilities, a significant project will be assigned at the beginning of the internship, building exposure to a variety of work and cross-functional teams. Interns may have accountability or shared accountability for the following:
- Strategic Pricing
- Supply Chain Strategy & Execution
- Feed Formulation
- Commodity Merchandising, Trading, Risk Management, and Sourcing
- Strategic Marketing and Technology
- Data and Business Analytics
- Business Financials

Internship Program Details
Internships are typically 12 weeks in duration during the summer (May/June – August). Interns are paid hourly for time worked and are responsible for their own transportation to and from work. Outstanding performers may be offered an internship, co-op, or full-time position for the following year.
Interns receive access to comprehensive learning resources, volunteer and community outreach opportunities, and paid time off for volunteer activities. Throughout the internship, you’ll participate in events that provide exposure to leadership, development opportunities, and networking with cross-functional interns/co-ops across the U.S. You’ll also receive consistent support from the early careers team, mentors, colleagues, and your supervisor.

Pay
The expected hourly rate for this position is $23.13–$32.02. Compensation decisions are dependent on graduation date and eligibility for full-time employment.
Qualifications
- Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer
- Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited program in supply chain, operations, business, sales, finance, agribusiness, business analytics, animal science, economics, ag-economics, leadership studies, or a related degree; graduating between December 2027 – August 2029
- Proven ability to work optimally with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures
- Geographically flexible and willing to relocate for an internship opportunity anywhere in the U.S.
- Able to complete a 12-week internship in the summer (May/June – August)
- Possess a high degree of initiative and resourcefulness in completing work with limited guidance
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
Locations
Various U.S. locations, including but not limited to: Shippensburg, PA; Olathe/Kansas City, KS; Amarillo, TX; Wayzata/Minneapolis, MN. The majority of the workweek will be in-office, with flexibility for hybrid work arrangements.
