Business Management Analyst - Level 3 or 4
This position is 100% onsite in Redondo Beach, CA and cannot accommodate telecommute work. An active Top-Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance is required at time of application. Travel is expected at 10% of the time.

As a Business Management Analyst – Level 3 or 4, you’ll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one. You will help prepare budgets and schedules for contract work and assist with financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlooks, cash forecasting, and variance analysis. You will also ensure adequate funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures, directing preparation for expenditure projections, and submitting timely requests for additional funding to the government. Additionally, you will assist with the development of financial deliverables to the government customer and analyze the Earned Value performance of the program to ensure successful execution.
Responsibilities
- Set up cost control systems, monitor and control costs and schedules on contracts requiring validated cost schedule control systems.
- Support audits and reviews requested by programs, customers, and company management, including fact-finding and negotiation support.
- Perform analysis and prepare reports to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines.
- Perform Earned Value Metric (EVM) tasks including Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) development, budget baseline, cost risk analysis/assessment, and visibility reports, as well as development and analysis of estimates to complete.
- Assist with program resource management, including cost estimation, allocation, tracking, and analysis.
- Assist with preparation of financial CDRLs (Contract Data Requirements List).
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Basic Qualifications – Level 3
- Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of business management or program control experience – OR – Master’s degree with 3 years of business management or program control experience – OR – PhD.
- Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
- Requires an active Top-Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance at time of application.
- Experience with financial analysis or reporting.
- Experience with MS Office Suite.
- Experience with Earned Value (EVMS).
Basic Qualifications – Level 4
- Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of business management or program control experience – OR – Master’s degree with 6 years of business management or program control experience – OR – PhD with 4 years of business management or program control experience.
- Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
- Requires an active Top-Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance at time of application.
- Experience with financial analysis or reporting.
- Experience with MS Office Suite.
- Experience with Earned Value (EVMS).
Skills
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business Administration (preferred).
- Defense industry experience (preferred).
- Program Cost Control experience (preferred).
- Experience with FAR/DFARS (preferred).
- Experience with Cobra, SAP, or IBM Cognos (preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (preferred).
- Experience with Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) (preferred).
- Financial analysis presentation experience (preferred).
- Proposal preparation, strategy development, or evaluation experience (preferred).
- Earned Value Management (EVM) experience (preferred).
Schedule
This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.
Pay
Primary Level Salary Range: $94,200.00 - $141,200.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $117,500.00 - $176,300.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
