Business Lending Specialist

General Summary

The Business Lending Specialist will be responsible for a variety of duties in support of the Business Lending team. This person will provide administrative and operational support and relationship management including loan portfolio maintenance, loan servicing and overall loan administration.

Key Essential Responsibilities

• Aid the business lending team with loan administration support functions including portfolio management, new loan onboarding, organizing loan files, and gathering updated financial documents from borrowers.
• Manage the loan portfolio and complete annual financial reviews.
• Prepare and maintain reports assigned by management.
• Act as a point of contact for existing borrowers related to their providing updated financial information.
• Aid with loan operations which involves boarding new loans onto the core system, performing account maintenance (i.e. loan extensions, modifications, payment adjustments, etc.), and preparing reports as needed.

Essential Skills, Knowledge and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred. Will consider qualified candidates with proven work experience in a similar role at a bank or credit union.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in relationship management with commercial borrowers.
• Proficient in accounting and financial statement analysis.
• Sense of urgency, strong member service skills, strong time management and workload management skills, attention to detail, willingness and ability to contribute to a team-based environment, ability to adapt easily to change, strong communication skills and a desire to provide best-in-class service to the Members.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 suite including Word, Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Teams.
• Fiserv DNA experience strongly preferred.
