Responsibilities
- Contribute to the BI product roadmap by aligning customer priorities with enterprise and departmental objectives established by Data & Analytics leadership.
- Partner with the Reporting Director to ensure business needs are clearly defined, prioritized, and communicated, while supporting the successful delivery and adoption of reporting and analytics solutions.
- Partner with business stakeholders across the organization to gather, analyze, and prioritize their reporting and analytics requirements.
- Maintain backlog inputs for BI products, translating business needs into clear user stories and acceptance criteria for the delivery team.
- Work with delivery teams to use agile prototyping approaches to turn user needs and business ideas into early product concepts, gather feedback quickly, and refine BI products before wider delivery.
- Document and maintain business requirements, success criteria, and user experience expectations for approved BI products and capabilities, ensuring each product is useful, trusted, and adopted by the business.
- Work with data governance and data owners to understand the level of trust, quality, and readiness of BI data sources, and clearly communicate that confidence level to business users.
- Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and BI delivery teams, consolidating user needs, feedback, pain points, and adoption insights to support prioritization decisions and product improvements.
- Track and report on agreed-upon KPIs for BI product usage, performance, and business value, providing insights to Data & Analytics leadership and delivery teams to inform prioritization, adoption efforts, and product improvements.
- Support initiatives that promote appropriate use of both governed reporting and self-service analytics capabilities.
- Serve adoption of BI products and analytics capabilities through stakeholder engagement, communication, and user enablement.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner, or BI/Analytics lead, ideally within a business intelligence or data function.
- Strong understanding of business intelligence concepts, including data modeling, reporting, dashboards, and self-service analytics.
- Hands-on familiarity with leading BI platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
- Demonstrated ability to gather requirements from business stakeholders and translate them into delivered analytics products.
- Experience supporting backlog prioritization and roadmap alignment, ideally within an Agile delivery environment.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage both business and technical audiences.
- A solid understanding of data governance, data quality, and how to communicate the reliability and appropriate use of BI products to business audiences.
- Experience defining and tracking product success metrics, including product adoption and usage.
- Commercial awareness, with the ability to connect analytics products to tangible business value.
- Experience with the Microsoft data stack (Power BI and Microsoft Fabric) is an advantage.
