Business Intelligence Manager

Role Overview

This position oversees the planning, development, and support of analytic tools, including the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and third-party business intelligence solutions. It involves supervising the analytics team and ETL administrators, promoting self-service analytics, and collaborating on data governance and AI data curation. The role includes staff management, hiring, performance evaluation, and fostering a productive work environment, along with aligning team efforts with organizational goals. It requires effective communication, professional development support, and budget assistance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage analytics staff, including hiring, evaluating, and addressing performance issues.
• Communicate organizational plans, goals, and expectations clearly.
• Promote employee engagement and maintain a professional work environment.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and conduct staff orientations and meetings.

Technical Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with data warehouses, analytics, reporting tools, especially Epic's Cogito ecosystem.
• Knowledge of cloud databases (e.g., Databricks, AWS, Fabric) and enterprise visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
• Strong communication skills for conveying complex information to management.
• Ability to collaborate across teams and manage multiple projects.
• Management experience with report writers, analysts, and BI developers.
• Preferred healthcare experience, Agile/CI/CD methods, and AI/data science capabilities.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Information Services or related field.
• Minimum five years of relevant experience, with at least two years in supervisory roles.
• Experience with BI tools, data analytics, and reporting; specific platform experience preferred.
