Experience:
Minimum 7 years in business intelligence or analytics with direct exposure to performance or affiliate marketing. The strongest candidates have owned reporting end-to-end, from pipeline to dashboard, worked with messy, complex, third-party data, and partnered closely with business teams to uncover meaningful trends, conduct retrospective analyses, and connect data work to decisions that actually moved the business.
Your Role
Launch Potato seeks a Lead BI Developer to own the reporting infrastructure powering decision-making across Credit Cards, Make Money/Manage Money, Banking, and Marketplace verticals. This role requires embedding with Yield, Paid Media, and Account Management teams to uncover meaningful trends, conduct retrospective analyses, and challenge the team with insights they aren't currently seeing. Outcomes include active stakeholder engagement, dashboard standardization, and proactive retrospective analyses.
Outcomes (Performance Expectations)
- 30 Days in: Audit existing dashboards and develop a roadmap for standardization.
- 60 Days in: Bridge business context and data understanding, improving dashboard standardization and handling ad hoc requests.
- 90 Days in: Dashboard standardization underway, structured LookML with awareness of downstream impacts, and established working relationships.
- 6 Months in: Build trust with the business team, deliver proactive retrospective analyses, and be viewed as a go-to analytical partner.
- Year 1: Become a trusted technical owner, complete reporting standardization, and consistently deliver retrospective analyses.

Total Compensation
Compensation is set according to market rates for the nearest major metro and includes a base salary, profit-sharing bonus, and competitive benefits. Future increases are based on company and personal performance, not annual cost of living adjustments.
