Business Intelligence Engineer - Senior level

About the role

Enterprise Architect applies management skills and specialized functional and technical expertise to support complex projects in applying organizing principles and methods of enterprise architecture. These methods include IT business systems development and technical solutions that align with the business process, through requirements analysis, needs assessments, and selection and implementation of integration strategies including lifecycle sustainability.

Provides subject matter expertise in industry, with specific knowledge of methods including architecting enterprise strategy, enterprise architecture development and management, business process design and re-engineering, investment decision making and support for solution architecture development/management, and supporting the attainment of business strategy and its alignment with processes and information technology strategy.

Responsibilities

• Apply Enterprise Architecture principles to support complex projects
• Perform requirements analysis and needs assessments
• Select and implement integration strategies with lifecycle sustainability
• Provide subject matter expertise in enterprise architecture methods and industry standards
• Support business strategy alignment with processes and IT strategy
• Perform complex data consolidation from multiple disparate source systems
• Design and manage large data models, including incremental refresh, calculation groups, and aggregation tables
• Write T-SQL, stored procedures, and use parameters and functions
• Utilize tools such as SSIS, ADF, Power Query, and M language
• Create storytelling reports, dashboards with drill-down capabilities, and mobile dashboards
• Implement and support complex Row Level Security
• Deploy and implement Power BI solutions
• Work with BI platforms like Power BI and WebFocus
• Establish scalable and flexible data architecture
• Administer Power BI at the organization level, troubleshoot gateways, and manage licenses
• Provide insight on licensing policies and cost optimization for Power BI environments

Requirements

• Minimum of seven (7) years of applying Enterprise Architecture principles
• At least five (5) years of experience in a lead capacity
• Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related or Engineering field

  • Experience writing T-SQL, stored procedures, and using parameters and functions
  • Experience with tools and services such as SSIS and ADF
  • Experience using Power Query and M language
  • Mastery of storytelling, report creation, dashboard design with drill-down capabilities, and mobile dashboards
  • Five (5) years of experience supporting complex Row Level Security
  • Five (5) years of experience in Power BI deployment and implementation
  • Five (5) years of experience working with BI platforms like Power BI and WebFocus
  • Five (5) years of experience establishing scalable and flexible data architecture
  • Full proficiency in administering Power BI at the organization level, troubleshooting gateways, and managing licenses
  • Ability to provide insight on licensing policies and cost optimization for Power BI environments
