About the role
The Business Intelligence Engineer will be part of a high-visibility, growth-oriented analytics team within a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment. We are seeking an exceptionally talented and deeply focused BI Engineer with analytical skills who will build some of the largest reporting objects in the Devices Forecasting space, contribute to business outcomes through analytics, and provide engineering services to our managed and centralized Tableau and AWS QuickSight dashboards.
Responsibilities
- Solve problems using data and work with business intelligence tools
- Build ETL pipelines and support statistical models using multidimensional data sets
- Partner with business owners to answer key questions
- Work with product managers, data engineers, and software developers to gather requirements and deliver complete analytics/reporting solutions
- Own the design, development, and maintenance of datasets, metrics, reports, analyses, etc. to drive key business decisions
- Create data cubes and automated pipelines to power Tableau or QuickSight dashboards
- Support product teams with analytical deep dives to help support MBRs
Requirements
- 4+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc.
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
- Experience in statistical analysis packages such as R, SAS, and Matlab
- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
Qualifications
- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets
Skills
- Strong analytical, innovative, creative, and disruptive skills
- Ability to thrive in Amazon's fast-paced, Day 1 culture
- Experience working with both structured and unstructured datasets
- Proficiency in data visualization tools like Tableau and QuickSight
- Knowledge of data modeling and warehousing techniques
- Experience with statistical analysis and data mining tools
- Experience with AWS services
