Serving families nationwide, the organization operates with a fully remote team dedicated to expanding access to quality autism therapy.About the OpportunityThe Business Intelligence Engineer is responsible for building and maintaining the data infrastructure that serves as a trusted source of truth for the organization. This role supports critical business decisions, analytics, and AI-driven tools by developing reliable data models, business intelligence solutions, and quality frameworks. The position plays an important role in enabling the organization to scale its therapy platform while providing accurate and actionable insights to internal teams, external partners, and digital systems.Responsibilities• Design and maintain dbt models that accurately encode business logic and organizational metrics.• Establish consistent metric definitions across reports and analytics products.• Collaborate with the Senior Manager of Data to align data models and business definitions.• Document data models and logic clearly for analysts, stakeholders, and other data users.• Manage the Amazon QuickSight environment, including data connections, datasets, refresh schedules, access controls, and performance.• Architect maintainable QuickSight dashboards that provide a strong user experience.• Lead the migration from Mode to QuickSight in coordination with leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.• Leverage QuickSight AI capabilities to enhance dashboard development and usability.• Ensure data quality, model accuracy, and reliability for analytics and AI-powered agents.• Build validation checks, automated quality tests, and monitoring systems.• Partner with Data Science teams on intersections between BI and AI pipelines.• Design and maintain payor outcomes reporting packages that meet accuracy and contractual requirements.• Collaborate with clinical and business stakeholders to define report metrics, requirements, and formats.• Evaluate and implement LLM-assisted BI tools to reduce the effort required to create and maintain reports.• Incorporate AI-native approaches into business intelligence infrastructure and workflows.• Share knowledge and best practices regarding AI applications and the role of human judgment in BI delivery.Requirements• Minimum 4 years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, business intelligence, or BI architecture.• Advanced SQL skills and strong data modeling expertise.• Hands-on experience with dbt, including model development, testing, and DAG management.• Experience with Amazon QuickSight or a comparable business intelligence platform.• Ability to explain complex data modeling and architecture decisions to non-technical stakeholders.• Experience partnering with business stakeholders to understand domain requirements and context.• Familiarity with LLM-assisted BI tools, AI-native data products, or similar technologies preferred.Nice to Have• Experience working with clinical data, healthcare outcomes, or payor reporting.• Knowledge of RAG pipelines, vector databases, or AI inference infrastructure.• Experience working in highly regulated environments involving HIPAA or SOC 2 requirements.• Experience leading or supporting business intelligence platform migrations.Pay Range and Compensation Package• Annual salary range of $130,500–$152,250.
