Join a high-impact analytics team as a Business Intelligence Engineer supporting marketing and finance insights for a fast-moving advertising environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys turning complex data into clear recommendations, building scalable reporting, and partnering with cross-functional teams to support decision-making. Responsibilities Translate broad business questions into structured analytics plans and actionable insightsAnalyze large, complex datasets to evaluate program performance, customer behavior, and business trendsDesign, build, and maintain metrics, dashboards, and reporting tools that support leadership decisionsConduct statistical testing for A/B and multivariate experimentsPerform ad hoc analysis to investigate unusual patterns, customer usage, and profile-based questionsUse data mining, segmentation, and model-building techniques to identify meaningful trendsCollaborate with partners across finance, product, sales, operations, technology, and leadership teamsContribute to strategic and tactical planning discussions with data-backed recommendations Skills 3-6 years of experience working with large-scale, complex datasetsStrong SQL skills, including writing queries from scratchAnalytical mindset with the ability to break down business needs into a clear planExperience applying statistical methods to solve business problemsStrong communication skills and the ability to explain findings to both technical and non-technical audiencesComfort working in a fast-paced environment with evolving prioritiesAttention to detail and a self-starter approachBackground in statistics, programming, marketing, computer science, mathematics, or a related field Preferred Skills Experience with SASGraduate degree in a related disciplineExperience supporting finance, marketing, or advertising analyticsFamiliarity with large-scale data environments and exploratory analysisExposure to automation or AI-assisted analysis toolsExperience with ETL processes and SparkAbility to work collaboratively across multiple business functions Horizontal is committed to fostering an inclusive environment where diverse perspectives are valued, respected, and empowered.
