Business Intelligence Developer
About the role
Broad River Retail is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to join our IT and Business Intelligence team. This position supports and manages a program of business unit-focused initiatives designed to help business partners drive value from information, ensuring business needs and goals are realized through analysis and reporting activities.
Responsibilities
- Empower business leaders with concise, high-quality information to identify and address business opportunities and threats.
- Provide consultation on data interpretation to business partners across the organization.
- Document requirements in a shareable format for stakeholders.
- Support scheduled and non-recurring information needs of users.
- Provide end-user education for interpreting business data.
- Utilize a user group forum to share best practices around analytical findings.
- Understand data elements in the data warehouse at a detailed level to support user needs, from research to ad-hoc queries to large projects.
- Monitor and manage user requests through development, QA, and launch processes.
- Query data to fulfill user requests and present it in an easy-to-understand format with proper documentation.
- Manage critical projects through scope/requirement setting, development, user acceptance testing, and final product packaging.
- Consolidate redundant reporting to ensure consistent and efficient use of information across the company.
- Apply best practices for communication and problem-solving.
- Prioritize requirements and create conceptual prototypes and mock-ups.
- Provide 1st-tier end-user support for SSAS and data discrepancies.
